At home with Carole and Stefan

Carole Baijings and Stefan Scholten are the real-life couple behind the Amsterdam studio Scholten & Baijings. The duo sprinkle their rigorous work with pops of neon and whimsical line drawings to create uniquely Dutch products for the home.

Stefan and Carole’s inspiration comes from their personal life and everything they experience together. They love color, especially natural ones – and because their design is so minimal in terms of shapes, color along with grids and layering give their products the extra detail and edge*. No wonder the designers duo lives in a colorful yet serene interior. Light, transparent and open, their home and workspace celebrates color with harmony and simplicity…
