We're visiting a gorgeous Moroccan home full of vibrant colors, and following up on yesterday's post by Miluccia, still in the retro vibe. Come visit, and let's get some Moroccan mint tea together in the patio! A très bientȏt, Xo, Si-

Guest Post | Miluccia : Chez Julie Ansiau

I am very happy to be one of the guest bloggers for Si. I am Céline Giusti, a German-French girl and on my blog, Miluccia, I share my inspirations and my interior design finds. I have a special crush for the 1950 and 1960s era. Today, I wanted to share with you the interior of a friend of mine, French photographer and colorful felt objects designer Julie Asiau.

Julie's portfolio includes French and international magazines such as Papier Mâché, ELLE, Madame Figaro, Milk or Grazia. We both share the same passion for design and more specifically the 1950s era design.

Julie lives with her family in a 1230 square foot Haussmannian apartment in the 9th district of Paris. In her interior, she chose a white background and some vibrant colorful accessories, fabrics, and furniture.  The result is a warm, happy and lively space.

Guest Post | My Paradissi : With a blue attitude

Hello dear FrenchByDesign readers! I'm Eleni from My Paradissi and I'm here to fill up for sweet Si, as she is enjoying her beloved Paris.
I know that Si is a fan of blueand I really can't find a more soothing and refreshing color for myself either. A grayish tone with a dash of lilac in it is a great choice for the interiors as it is an almost neutral background to play with yet bold enough to create a space with attitude.
I can't tell you how much I love the blue painted hallway combined with the black and white checkers floor and that amazing wall to wall glass cabinetry. What do you think of this color? Would you choose it for your place?

I'd be very happy if you drop by at My Paradissi and say hi!

Guest Post | Sfgirlbybay

Hello readers of French By Design, this is Victoria from sfgirlbybay where Si so graciously contributes beautiful blog posts every other week. Today, I'm stepping in to contribute for Si whilst she's off in Paris (sigh), so I hope you like this home. It's one of the many homes a photography location site called Light Locations has in their incredible roster of rentable homes. I fear if I went on a photo shoot in this particular home called, Marmora Road, I might never wish to leave. I love the contrast of the very old Victorian home, with some of these more modern pieces -- including a crazy disco ball! I hope you enjoy it.

Cheers, Victoria

Guest Post | La Maison d'Anna G.

Hi, I'm Anna from La Maison d'Anna G. I live in Paris since many years and although I love the French way of living, I've stayed true to my Swedish origins when it comes to design. La Maison d'Anna G. is a blog about Scandinavian design and interiors, and also a webshop with a handpicked selection of beautiful Scandinavian accessories for your home (yes, we ship worldwide!).
I'm very happy and honored to stand in for Si here today while she is enjoying her stay in France!

2013 is the year when we see green and greenery everywhere. First of all Pantone's emerald green, the lush and radiant colour of the year 2013. The green nature also continues to inspire and we decorate our homes with large plants, branches and potted flowers.

Finally, the urban gardening trend is stronger than ever this year. Pots, balconies or rooftops, no surface is too small to grow your own vegetables and add a little greenery to the cityscape!

Guest Posting on Sfgirlbybay : Destination Uruguay!

Pffff... I don't care if spring is playing hide and seek with us this year. Today, I am dosing up on vitamin D in sunny Uruguay! Come join me on Victoria's blog at Sfgirlbybay to tour a fabulous house where concrete, neon and timeless style take the center stage. See you there!

House Tour : Happy life in Copenhagen

Barbara, owner of Soft Gallery, her husband Jan and their 2 kids, Nola and Siggi live in this happy house, minutes away from Copenhagen. I love the vintage vibe and overall casual laid back feel of this home. This home breathes simplicity and happiness, can you tell?

From my bed...

Lately, this has been my home office, nap area, snack corner. With this bug that hit us hard, I barely had time to enjoy and play with my new camera, but this morning, I felt a bit of energy and grabbed it to take this shot. I am in love with my new camera. I can hardly wait to play with it and take some outdoors shots. The birds are teasing me with their spring songs in front of my bedroom windows, but I'm so tired and exhausted.... Soon, I'll be out and playing... Hope you are feeling better than me today. Now going back to bed... Wishing you a lovely day! Xx, Si-

Si-

Kids Playrooms

I am currently researching some cool and original ideas for kids playrooms and couldn't resist posting these awesome spaces to share them with you. I mean, yes, I'm passed the age of playroom, but I'd hang out in any of these an entire afternoon, wouldn't you? Fun, colorful, but quirky and unexpected, these playrooms are uber-cool!

Color crush : this shade of blue

I am in love with this shade of blue. I can't give it an exact name, but I really love it, especially as a striking color accent against an all white interior. Here is the blue in action. Do you love it as much as I do? Somehow, it lifts my spirit, has a great spring feel to it and is overall very soothing. J'aime!

J'aime!

House Tour : At home with Karine

This is the home of Karine Striga, a French architect, located in sunny Marseille, South of France. I am loving the mix of vintage and design pieces, the subtle use of color and the overall happy vibe this space has. Très urban bohemian. My biggest crush is the oversized painter's canvas with the sharpie-pen message from Lilou, one of the little residents of the house : it reads, in phonetical French, "you are the best mom in the world and I love you more than the sky." Precious.
