Mint tea, anyone?

Bonjour my dear! I'm on my way back but wanted to drop by to let you know that I am contributing today to Sfgirlbybay with another delicious house tour. We're visiting a gorgeous Moroccan home full of vibrant colors, and following up on yesterday's post by Miluccia, still in the retro vibe. Come visit, and let's get some Moroccan mint tea together in the patio! A très bientȏt, Xo, Si-

Bonjour! Si-

Today I'm loving

Today, I am loving this office / conference room space. Monochromatic but ethnic chic at the same time, where the tribal patterns give more life to an otherwise black and white space.

J'aime beaucoup cet espace de travail / salle de réunion ou une gamme monochromatique et un univers ethnique se mélangent harmonieusement - les éléments tribaux viennent donner vie à un espace autrement noir et blanc.

Product Crush : Golran Carpet Reloaded

While searching for a client some funky and original rugs, I realized I had never mentioned Golran, Carpet Reloaded on the blog. What a brilliant idea! Using some traditional vintage oriental rugs, Golran decolorizes, then overdyes them to make new "reloaded" carpets. The result is incredibly beautiful and modern rugs new a whole new identity. Golran reloaded rugs don't come cheap, but they look so unique that they become a striking colorful statement piece in a room. Gorgeous!

Magnifique!

Modern Nomad

Spotted on the latest Elle Decoration UK this modern nomad Danish house exhibits a colorful and unique mix of global finds. Call it ethnic chic, perfect/imperfect style at its best. I love this space!

Déniché dans le dernier Elle Décoration anglais, cet intérieur danois qui mélange avec brio de la couleur et des pièces ethniques venues des 4 coins de la planète... Le comble de l'ethnique chic et du style brut "imparfait". J'aime cet espace!

Summer Series : The good life in Marrakech

When a Parisian artist decides to leave the crazy pace of the French capitale to exile herself and her family in Marrakech, Morocco, you get French style mixed with local craftsmanship pieces and a house full of character : pops of color, rattan pieces, raw concrete flooring, and vibrant tribal Moroccan rugs everywhere. I don't think I'd want to ever leave a house like this one, except maybe to go hunt for more treasures at the Marrakech's famous medina. I am in love with this house.

A zen haven in Sweden

I fell in love with this home located in Southern Sweden. Ah... such a peaceful and harmonious interior. Somehow, the owners recreated a Japanese zen mood throughout their space, mixing Orient with Scandinavia in a truly unique way. J'aime a lot!

Today I am loving

No... loving is not the right word... Today I am adoring these spaces by Prïvate 02 04 Danish rug company. You might remember a post I did about rugs a month ago. It turns out one of the rugs shown was from Prïvate 02 04...
Prïvate 02 04 rugs are simply to die for, with their aged patina and washed out colors as only sun rays and time can do. This is the epitome of an eclectic mix of ethnic chic and scandinavian minimalist style. Superb!
More inspiring images of their splendid rug collection here.

Rug statement

Loving these interiors with ethnic chic rugs that make a strong and bold statement. Love it, love it, love it [so much actually that I added a pic* of my own entryway, just for you!]

House Tour : Mélanie + 2

Mélanie, founder of Simple Kids, a seriously cool online kids clothing store, fell in love with this Anvers, Belgium, house when she found out that all original details had been preserved : vintage mirrors, wooden parquet floors, large windows, high ceilings and extra bonus, lots of open space. After some renovations - check out the gorgeous wooden floors that were stripped and left in their natural hue - Mélanie added some colors and texture thanks to the treasures she brought back from her numerous travels. I am loving the ethnic touches here and there that give this home a true personality. Love, love, love. Love.

Today, I am loving...

Oh, I think I'm speechless... This bathroom spotted on Architectural Digest is just pure bliss. Extravagant, yes. Unique, yes. Stylish, yes again. Crazy, for sure. But check this bath space made out of a giant pebble shaped granite piece brought back from Bali and sculpted as a bath receiver - smart idea : all the water pipes and ugly equipment are hidden in the wooden chest by the bath tub -  or the hidden shower head concealed in the baroque chandelier on the ceiling.... Probably not what I would go for if I had that kind of budget, but still...A.M.A.Z.I.N.G... and nothing like anything I've seen before....
