Hi, I am Veronika from the Cherry Blossom Blog. I am so honored for the guest post request I got from Si, and so excited to share with you this wonderful and inspiring home of the Berlin based creative couple, Ines Colmorgen and André Wyst. Ines is a former stylist, now childrens clothing shop owner, and André an art director. A lovely old, spacious apartment with an overall refreshing lightness, with a combination of classic designs and playful details. Pure eye candy!

Hello readers of French By Design, this is Victoria from sfgirlbybay where Si so graciously contributes beautiful blog posts every other week. Today, I'm stepping in to contribute for Si whilst she's off in Paris (sigh), so I hope you like this home. It's one of the many homes a photography location site called Light Locations has in their incredible roster of rentable homes. I fear if I went on a photo shoot in this particular home called, Marmora Road, I might never wish to leave. I love the contrast of the very old Victorian home, with some of these more modern pieces -- including a crazy disco ball! I hope you enjoy it.

Today, I'm loving this bedroom with the minimalist floating wooden shelf and pendant light - the "Platonic" pendant light by Danish design duo Nicolaj Bo and Thor Høy. Such a peaceful space!

Today I'm loving

Today, I'm loving this shelving unit, called "Stacked" - designed by JDS Architects for Muuto - used as a room divider. It partitions space in a big open floor plan like here, without blocking the light. Double bonus, you can keep adding units of Stacked over time. J'aime!

Aujourd'hui, j'ai un coup de coeur pour cette série d'étagères, "Stalked", dessinée par JDS Architects pour la marque Muuto - et utilisée ici comme cloison sur un grand espace ouvert, sans géner le flux de la pièce ou obturer la lumière. Double bonus, on peut compléter la collection Stalked au fur et à mesure dans le temps au besoin. J'aime!

A Greenwich Village luminous loft

This is the home of James Jebbia, founder and head of the Supreme retail brand. He shares this Greenwich Village, New York, loft with wife Bianca and their two children, Miles and Nina. Minimalist, punctuated by a few iconic design pieces, this massive open space loft has incredible light, thanks to the great architectural features [industrial windows] that have been kept in the remodeling. What a lovely space!

Voici le loft de James Jebbia, fondateur et dirigeant de la marque Supreme. Il habite ce loft situé à Greenwich Village, New York, avec son épouse Bianca et leurs deux enfants Miles and Nina. Minimaliste, meublé de pièces et meubles iconiques, ce spacieux loft est rempli d'une rare luminosité grâce aux éléments d'architecture, telles que les fenêtres industrielles, qui ont été préservés. Quel magnifique espace!

Today I'm loving

Today, I am loving this office / conference room space. Monochromatic but ethnic chic at the same time, where the tribal patterns give more life to an otherwise black and white space.

J'aime beaucoup cet espace de travail / salle de réunion ou une gamme monochromatique et un univers ethnique se mélangent harmonieusement - les éléments tribaux viennent donner vie à un espace autrement noir et blanc. 

Today, I'm loving

Today, I'm loving this concrete and porcelain desk lamp spotted in this fab' online store [that ships worldwide, yay to that!]. What a great idea to use two mineral, yet opposite, materials [concrete and porcelain], and add a pop of color with the electrical wire. This lamp has so much personality! I'd love to sport it in my minimalist office.

J'aime cette lampe de bureau vue sur ce magasin en ligne [qui livre dans le monde entier, yay!]. L'utilisation de 2 matières minérales mais totalement opposées telles que le béton et la porcelaine est très réussie et le rajout d'une touche de couleur pour le cordon électrique rend cette lampe assez unique. Je la verrais même très bien dans mon bureau minimaliste. 

At home with Jesper and Majbritt

Black and white heaven. This is how I would describe this Østerbro, Denmark, apartment. Thanks to a calming monochrome palette, Jesper and Majbritt carefully chose furniture one after the other to furnish this refuge for the senses. Because they work with color in their everyday job, they chose a calming black and white palette, and to keep the calming and minimalist feel, their rule is "if a piece comes in, another must go." I may adopt this strategy!

Un paradis en noir et blanc. C'est ainsi que je décrirais cet appartement situé à Østerbro, au Danemark. Sur une palette monochromatique, Jesper et Majbritt ont choisi avec minutie chaque meuble pour créer un "refuge des sens". Parce qu'ils travaillent avec de la couleur dans leur métier, ils ont délibérément choisi une palette monochromatique, et pour garder l'esprit minimaliste de leur appartement, leur règle d'or est : "si un meuble est rajouté, alors un autre doit partir." Quelle bonne idée à piquer!

Oh, I like this space. So cosy, so peaceful, so incredibly chic yet very casual... I could get so much blogging, accounting and other work done there, or not... maybe just a nap, a book and a cup of tea. J'aime pas, j'adore!

Oh, j'aime cet espace. Tellement cosy, tranquille, incroyablement chic mais en même temps très simple. Je pourrais bloguer, faire ma comptabilité, et travailler dans un petit salon comme ça. Ou peut être pas. Une sieste peut être, ou une bonne lecture et un bon thé... J'aime pas, j'adore!

This is the Copenhagen apartment of Tanja Vibe, the owner of Danish-Swedish graphic design studio All the way to Paris. Furnished with iconic design pieces, Tanja's flat is stylish and comfortable. Oh, and incredibly authentic and inviting.

Voici l'interieur de Tanja Vibe, co-fondatrice et dirigeante du studio graphique danois-suédois All the Way to Paris. Meublé de pièces iconiques du design, cet appartement, situé en plein centre de Copenhague, est plein de style et super cosy. Oh, et incroyablement authentique et convivial.

Spotted on the latest Elle Decoration UK this modern nomad Danish house exhibits a colorful and unique mix of global finds. Call it ethnic chic, perfect/imperfect style at its best. I love this space!

Déniché dans le dernier Elle Décoration anglais, cet intérieur danois qui mélange avec brio de la couleur et des pièces ethniques venues des 4 coins de la planète... Le comble de l'ethnique chic et du style brut "imparfait". J'aime cet espace!
