Last week's post on displaying art got so much attention and I received a lot of questions from you, readers, asking me how to display personal photos in original ways as well. So I compiled my "best of" selection for you. Displaying photos, whether black and white or colorful ones obeys only one rule : have fun and be creative!

Le billet de la semaine dernière sur l'art de faire parler l'art a reçu beaucoup d'attention, et vous avez été nombreux à me poser des questions et demander conseil. Beaucoup d'entre vous voulaient également voir des façons originales d'exposer leurs photos personnelles. Alors je vous ai préparé un petit "best of". Pour mettre en scène ses photos familiales, qu'elles soient en noir et blanc ou en couleur, une seule règle d'or s'applique : on se lâche, et on laisse libre cours à sa créativité!

From my bed...

Lately, this has been my home office, nap area, snack corner. With this bug that hit us hard, I barely had time to enjoy and play with my new camera, but this morning, I felt a bit of energy and grabbed it to take this shot. I am in love with my new camera. I can hardly wait to play with it and take some outdoors shots. The birds are teasing me with their spring songs in front of my bedroom windows, but I'm so tired and exhausted.... Color crush : this shade of blue

I am in love with this shade of blue. I can't give it an exact name, but I really love it, especially as a striking color accent against an all white interior. Here is the blue in action. Do you love it as much as I do? Somehow, it lifts my spirit, has a great spring feel to it and is overall very soothing. J'aime!

J'aime cette teinte de bleu. Je n'arrive pas à lui donner un nom exact {lagon, pervenche?} mais j'aime beaucoup, en particulier en complément d'un univers blanc. Voici ce magnifique bleu dans différents intérieurs? Aimez-vous autant que moi? Il y a quelque chose de magique dans ce bleu : il ravive instantanément un intérieur {et le moral}, me rappelle que le printemps arrive et repose en même temps l'esprit. J'aime!

Today we're celebrating Women's International Day my dear, so to all the gals out there, happy Women's Day. I know, it kinda sucks that they have to make a special day for us. I mean, men don't have a special day. But still, any day to celebrate any cause is a good day to celebrate a cause, right? After all, so many women today, and sadly not only in emerging countries, are treated, paid or talked to differently, just because they are women, that we all need this day to embrace the cause. Aujourd'hui, on célèbre la Journée Internationale de la Femme, alors à toutes mes lectrices, bonne Journée de la Femme. Je sais, ça craint un peu d'avoir une fête pour nous, comme si on était une cause perdue dont il faut se rappeler - les mecs n'ont pas de journée à eux après tout. Mais il y encore tellement de femmes partout dans le monde - et tristement, pas seulement dans les pays émergents comme on pourrait croire - qui subissent des traitements différents parce qu'elles sont femmes, qu'on la prend cette journée, et on embrasse toutes cette cause. Uh, je ne me sens pas au top. Il s'avère que mon petit blues d'hiver n'est pas mon seul souci, je crois que mon corps est en train de se battre avec un méchant petit microbe d'hiver. While browsing through the beautiful portfolio of talented photographer Kasia Gatkowska, I came across this loft with a strong industrial raw vibe and stared at all its details for quite a long time. I am loving the dark mood, very masculine, the perfectly imperfect mood that reigns in this space and its strong personality.

En parcourant le portfolio de la photographe Kasia Gatkowska, je suis tombée sur ce sublime loft à l'ambiance brute et masculine, et ai passé plusieurs minutes à scruter chaque détail de chaque image. J'aime tous ces coloris sombres, masculins, la perfection dans l'imperfection que cet espace évoque et sa forte personnalité.
