Today I'm loving

Today, I'm loving this bedroom with the minimalist floating wooden shelf and pendant light - the "Platonic" pendant light by Danish design duo Nicolaj Bo and Thor Høy. Such a peaceful space!

Quel espace reposant!

Today, I'm loving

Today, I'm loving this concrete and porcelain desk lamp spotted in this fab' online store [that ships worldwide, yay to that!]. What a great idea to use two mineral, yet opposite, materials [concrete and porcelain], and add a pop of color with the electrical wire. This lamp has so much personality! I'd love to sport it in my minimalist office.

Product Crush : Booo Lamp by Front

Booo not! Brilliant design it is. Booo is a new lightbulb based on a rather simple concept: since the new LED generation bulbs can last up to twenty years, the bulb is no longer a disposable item. So Booo is a lamp and a lightbulb, all in one... Booo is designed by Front, a Swedish designers trio with an extraordinary visionary approach.  Like I said, brilliant!

Super easy DIY project

Spotted on the latest Elle Decoration UK edition this super easy DIY lighting idea. Achieve a decadent twinkling with the help of ornamental light bulbs draped over a plank of wood against the wall. The trailing cords are concealed from view, and you get a total "oh la la, did you make this?" effect. Brilliant!

Product Crush : Industrial 2D lamp

Major crush alert on the Industrial 2D lamp designed by Greek design duo 157+173 Designers and spotted on the super cool French online shop Serendipity. Made out of Plywood with engraved and perforated designs, this lamp is almost flat when seen on aerial view. Extra bonus, the lamp also sports a bright yellow cord, so trendy these days.

Open space, sure, the trend seems to be here to stay, but when you have limited space and need to share your bedroom with your home office, the best option is to visually "screen" the 2 spaces, either through a wall or a curtain. This interior perfectly illustrates the idea. I love how the designer of this room played the "cosy" card on the bedroom side with the use of a strong color and all clean white option for the desk area of the room. This is brilliant interior design and I love every single detail of this room, don't you?

Nellianna and Kenneth are inspired by nature and their shared love of making beautiful products that contribute to the world's wellness, and it shows. Their entire lamp shade line, named Nellianna, is pure magic. J'aime. A lot.

Oh la la, j'aime!

I really like this kitchen spotted here. The owner designed her kitchen to fit her lifestyle and as a result, flow circulates very naturally, making this space an ideal family room. I am in love with the understated and very chic marble countertops and the light birch kitchen elements. Of course, the Thonet chairs and vintage surgical 1930s Swedish surgical lamps add an instant character to this space. J'aime... a lot!

Product Crush : The Spinning Lamp

Oh, I am in love... for real. truly. madly. deeply. Those of you who read this blog regularly know that I have some kind of sick obsession over lights, and chairs {and many other things}. But for some reason, lamps lead the pack. I've been spotting this one here and there but never been able to put a name or designer on it. Until recently. And now, it's on my mind. often. too often. Meet the Spinning lamp by young talented U.K based designer Benjamin Hubert. I especially love it laying against a wall and hanging as an art statement piece like on the top pic. This one is on my Christmas list. Oh, Spinning lamp, please be mine soon!

I ♡ The Pigeon Light

Oh my, I'd been eyeing the Pigeon Light designed by Ed Carpenter for a while and Maya's room, my youngest daughter, has a sticker as a headboard, and for some time now, I've been searching for the right accessory that could finish the look... Tadaa! Here comes the Pigeon light [ordered online through a fab' UK shop called Theo, but be warned, Theo's selection is quite yummy and highly tempting]. That was the missing accessory. Maya loves it, and I love it so much, it actually crossed my mind to steal the lamp from the poor kid...

Today, I am loving...

Today, I am seriously in love with this pic : love, love, love the industrial yet minimal feel of this work space {there's actually absolutely nothing I don't like here...}. And this oversized vibrant red marquee letter is just showing off like a giant piece of artwork. Oh, I love vintage!
